The ingredients needed to cook Tomato Sauce:
  1. Prepare 1 kg ripe tomatoes
  2. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  3. Get 1/2 cup sugar
  4. Get To taste salt
  5. Take 1/2 cup white vinegar
  6. Take 2 tsp ginger paste
  7. Get 1-2 small pieces of cinnamon
  8. Get Little water for boiling tomatoes
Instructions to make Tomato Sauce:
  1. Chop all the tomatoes in big pieces. Add it to a pressure cooker. Add water, ginger paste, cinnamon & little salt.
  2. Pressure cook it for 2 whistles. Then let it cool down completely. Then blend it to become smooth puree.
  3. Using a filter extract the tomato puree separating seeds & skin of tomatoes.
  4. Further boil this puree by stirring it occasionally. Now add red chilli powder, sugar, vinegar & salt. Keep stirring till the tomato puree thickens & water evaporates completely.
  5. Once done. Let it cool & then transfer it to the container. Your homemade tomato sauce is ready. Can be eaten with bhaji bhajias, vadas, sandwiches etc.
